There is a super awesome FREE IBikeFresno bike valet happening both nights. Ride your bike down to the festival and these nice dudes will take care of it for you all night. Check the bike icons on the map for each night’s location.

Also also IMPORTANT: The place to buy and pickup tickets ($20) on Friday is at Club One! You can start picking up tickets at 5:30, doors open on the early venues at 6.

Buying your ticket on Saturday (if you didn’t get the 2-day pass on Friday) means going to Fulton 55 when you get there and the first band is playing at 5:00!

You will get a mini schedule so you can pick where you want to go and when.

Twitter hashtag for the event is #fusefresno. There is a Foursquare thingy up too to check in with.

All venues on Friday have fine dinner options (and drinks) so make sure to plan your dinner at FUSE on Friday. Saturday there will be a good taco truck around plus Tokyo Garden will serve dinner till about 9:30 or so and there will be drinking at Tokyo Garden and Fulton 55.

Parking is free Downtown at night and on weekends (since the Grizzlies season is over) so find a spot and you’re done. Friday the Spiral Garage will be a good option. Saturday just find a random spot in the Culture Arts/Mural District and that’s it. Easy.

There will be band merch and festival merch so bring some cash.

Get there early. Stay late. Bounce around. Sample sample sample. See what Fresno’s music scene is all about. See ya out there!

New venue announced

Do to circumstances outside of our control Karma will no longer be a FUSE festival venue. It will be replaced by the Downtown Club (@2020 Kern St.) . We’re happy to have them on board. A revised band schedule with the new venue will be available soon.

You’ve no doubt seen the line up. Hopefully you’re eagerly awaiting the schedule (it’s coming soon) so you can figure out which bands to see and when. Obviously, we think all the bands are totally worth checking out, but here’s some food for thought:

Rademacher (9 p.m., Fri. @ Club One): These old-school indie-rock darlings (that’s an odd phrase) haven’t played in Fresno in awhile. Also, they are releasing their latest e.p. in conjunction with the festival.

Kevin Hill Blowout (6 p.m., Sat. @ African American Museum): Jazzman Kevin Hill wants to put 30 of Fresno’s best musicians up on stage. Included: 5 drummers, 5 guitarists, 5 keyboard players and 3 tubas. He’s even hinted at an anything-goes free-for-all jam to end the set. This is not to be missed.

Nate Pearce Band (7:30 p.m., Sat @ Iron Bird Lofts): They play both kinds of music. Country. And Western. Used to be a time when you could hear this kind of twangy down-home goodness all over town. Used to be.

OK: Now, you tell us. Which bands are not-to-be-missed?

After 44 days, our campaign is totally funded (more than funded actually) thanks to all of our wonderful backers (special mentions to the Friends of the Library andRotary Storyland and Playland.) It’s wonderful to get such support from the community.

So, all that’s left is to enjoy the show.

It’s that time again for the Fresno Urban Sound Experience. Welcome back, fellow lovers of music and Fresno. We’ve been doin’ stuff.

Yep, we did the Kickstarter thing again and thanks to some amazing backers, we got funded. We also put together the biggest and most eclectic mix of local music you could ever see and hear in one weekend. Yes, weekend. This year we stepped it up and we’re having a two-night festival. Pretty excited to show off Downtown Fresno and the local music talent we have here.

All that’s left at this point is… you. Get excited about Fresno’s music scene with us. Buy some tickets and tell all your friends. Let’s get pumped for September 30th and October 1st!

Thanks to all of our backers, who threw in to help make the Fresno Urban Sound Experience happen for the third year (and hopefully fourth/fifth/etc.). With your help we made our goal and then some. Now, you all can sit back, relax and wait to enjoy a day-full of Fresno’s music at its best. Check back often for the latest updates (venues/full line-up/schedule and more).

Meanwhile, we’ve got some work to do.
