Creative Fresno

Creative Fresno is about using creative thinking to create a quality sense of place. We support the role of the arts within a vibrant community and embrace innovation, creativity, and action to help transform Fresno into a place where we are proud to live, work, and play.

In January 2004 a small group of young professionals to drive the popular Creative Cities Movement in Fresno. From that small initial group, Creative Fresno has moved on to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a bold, progressive Board of Directors that pride themselves on being creative problem solvers. In a short amount of time, the organization has had many successes.

With such a diverse membership and support base, Creative Fresno has the ability to engage in multiple arenas: arts, civic and business. We bring a fresh prospective to the table and demand that people not just talk about changing our community but work together to make it happen.

Showcasing Fresno's Music Scene

Fresno, situated in the heart of the Central Valley of California, is strategically located between two of the principal music markets in the world, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Not only benefiting from national and regional touring bands traveling through the area, many of Fresno’s local bands travel to Northern and Southern California to perform regularly. Add to this one of the most diverse communities in the entire United States and you have a culture of musicians like none other.

Annual musical events and a collection of local venues present these artists to new and old fans alike throughout the year. The FuSE Festival will provide not only a sampling of various artists, but an opportunity to experience Fresno’s Local Music Scene. A unique showcase of musical talents in the heart of our city, Downtown Fresno. It will be one not to miss and surely not soon forgotten.
